Located in the heart of Toms River, NJ, Battle Grounds Distillery was built on a relentless, no-nonsense approach to craft spirits. We don't cut corners, and we don't pour standard well drinks. Our mission from day one has been to bring an uncompromising lineup of premium aged spirits and a highly elevated, prep-intensive cocktail program to Ocean County.

THE TEAM

Led by Operating Owner Tracy Bacon, alongside an all-female ownership group featuring Heather Carney, Melissa Morrison, and Kristin Capone, Battle Grounds was created to be a welcoming yet dead-serious sanctuary for whiskey purists and cocktail enthusiasts alike. We recognized a gap in the market for a meticulously curated, aesthetic-driven tasting room, and we decided to build it ourselves.

THE CRAFT

Every spirit on our wall from our heavy-hitting, custom-blended bourbons and fiery ryes to our crisp botanical gins and rums is carefully sourced, proofed, and finished right here in-house to showcase a wide variety of ages and flavor profiles.

But we didn't stop at the barrel. Our "Director’s Cut" bar program is an extensively detailed, culinary-driven cocktail experience. Absolutely everything that goes into your glass from fat-washed spirits to complex botanical shrubs, syrups, and bitters is crafted entirely from scratch by our bar team.
